Fr. Remigius DeRychere's 1884 and 1891 Ordos are signed by him in the front. These contain in Latin a calendar of directives for the liturgical celebration of feast throughout the year. Fr. DeRychere penciled notes as to where he was (D.L. for Deer Lodge, Butte, Helena, Philipsburg, etc.) his mass intention or burials. These are often abbreviated. On July 27, 1884 he noted his arrival in Deer Lodge 18 years earlier and on July 31 his departure from Belgium in 1865.
Bishop Gilmore's note on the inside cover(1884): This ordo was part of library of Msgr. P. DeSiere, St. Pat. Butte; 2)Left to Catholic Central High School, Butte; 3) Found by Fr. M. J. Leonard, Principal in wastebasket headed for furnace; 4)Given by Fr. Leonard to Bishop Gilmore, 1950. In 2006 it was found in a box of Bishop Brondel's papers.
