2001.001.022 Cathedral of the Sacred Hearts and diocesan account book. 1872—1898. This contains accounts of liabilities and donations for the construction of the Sacred Hearts church 1872—1876); a June 15, 1886 meeting to build an episcopal residence and general diocesan financial transactions. White Bull's map of Cheyenne and Crow lands, construction accounts for St. Aloysius school, Kessler promise of 18,000 bricks to build Sacred Hearts church [Aug. 13, 1874].
The diocesan accounts section Includes assets and liabilities [loans to various parishes, St. Aloysius school.] Also there is a note of "$5 and insurance of $2000 on my Personal cash Book for my successor in office." [Bishop Brondel].
Several loose notes include:
1— Note of Nick Kessler:"I will give 18,000 of good quality brick delivered to you at the kiln." Aug. 13,[18]74. This was pinned to the front page of Sacred Hearts Cathedral account book.
2— Map of Cheyenne and Crow country drawn by White Bull, Chief of the Cheyenne found in Sacred Hearts Cathedral account book.
3— A note itemizing St. Aloysius School construction account.
